Logo of Museum of Art and Photography

Located in Bengaluru’s cultural heart, the Museum of Art & Photography (MAP) is a dynamic space dedicated to bringing art and heritage closer to the community. Spanning six stories, it features five galleries, digital experience centers and a research and conservation lab.

Founded in 2016 by Abhishek Poddar, MAP is South India’s first major private museum, housing over 60,000 artworks from the 10th century to today - spanning paintings, sculptures, textiles, photographs and popular prints.

With a distinctive steel facade resembling an industrial water tank, MAP symbolizes the preservation of artistic heritage. Since 2020, its Digital Museum has expanded global access, reinforcing its mission to make art accessible to all.
